Disconnect the black lead from your battery for 5 mins.

 

Could this be done via fuse 19 inside the compartment fuse box?

 

Pulling a fuse will only disconnect the items on that circuit, depends what you are trying to achieve?

 

Disconnect both battery leads and hold them together for 10 seconds to drain any residual charge in the circuits.

 

As above, however I would suggest 30 mins disconnected - we had an Audi which required well over 5 mins to discharge residual charge.

Not sure if connecting both leads is a good idea, maybe an urban myth, but there are suggestions it can cause damage?

 

I have a 2012 evoque and was told to disconnect the battery for 15-30min. I did this and it did not work.

 

Once you’d disconnected the battery did you hold the +ve and -ve leads together. This allows capacitors in the various units around the car to discharge.
